This and the seven images that follow are from a series of plastic gum wall sculptures I created from 2003 - 2004. Plastic gum is a thick, translucent, rubbery material. The hanging mechanisms used to attach each sculpture to the wall are an integral part of each work. In this work, Cathedral, I used the bottom of a plastic soft drink delivery box as a template to spray paint through, onto the plastic gum. The resulting pattern resembles the architectural layout of a cathedral.
This is only a small sampling of the work in this series. Please contact the artist to see additional images.
